Roebuck was founded in 2020 by Hugh Bickerton and Steve Hughes, two firm friends with a passion for building beautiful homes and decades of experience in residential building to the very highest standards, across Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds & London.

Hugh Bickerton CIOB, BSc Hons in Construction Management and 24 years experience in the super-prime residential building sector.

Steve Hughes BEng, MBA. Former basement company owner. Construction equipment specialist and one of JCB’s youngest ever directors. Procurement specialist to various industries.

 

When Hugh and Steve met 5 years ago it was clear they both shared a similar passion for property and design. They both share the need for precision and intricate attention to detail – Steve from his career engineering construction machinery and the millimetre precision builds of Hugh’s super-prime homes.

Whilst delivering a 65,000 square foot new-build private house in the Cotswolds, Hugh employed Steve to lead various specialist packages. Following on from the success of this project they decided to bring our expertise to the local building market (within 1 hour of Leamington) in the form of Roebuck Building Company.

Roebuck now comprises groundworks, brickwork and general building teams, 2 master-carpenters and 2 carpenters (15 years’ experience each). They also bring tried and tested sub-contractors for M&E (plumbing, heating and electrics), roofing, joinery and other specialist items. With our office & workshop unit just outside Leamington Spa and plant & welfare stored near Southam we are ideally positioned to cover Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and the Cotswolds.
